The Concert in the Park.

We have been hosting the “Concert in the Park” for each of the last ten years. The first three Concerts were staged at “The Lawns” in Rochford, the last seven at Priory Park in Southend. Southend Council regards it as the highest profile outdoors event that the Town stages after the Air Show!
Each year the Rotary Club of Rayleigh Mill nominates a charitable cause to receive a substantial donation from the profit that is made from the event. The balance of the profit is apportioned to other charitable causes that are brought to our attention during the course of the year. This is a prime reason for the existence of the Rotary ideal as a part of the local community.

Each year we have learned something and made changes to improve the overall format.  The members of the club have got involved in a lot of physical work (and some of us had not done this for years!).
It does take a lot of work and dedication from the members of our club, but The results for us have been that we have been able to give many thousands of pounds to many charities and deserving causes, some local, some national and some international.
